When you left me I felt as though life had left me,
My heartbeat stopped,
While tears rolled from my eyes continuously creating a stream,
A river that ran so deep it felt as though I was drowning,
Every night I scream hoping that this is all a dream,
That the world can never be this cruel,
Surely my heart deserves a break,
Heartbreak after heartbreak I sit there wishing,
Praying that one day my true love will come,
Thinking yes the next guy is the one,
Then life slaps me,
Reality kicks me and I realise he is just another one,
Another one that has deceived me,
He has come to cheat on me and break me,
When will my love come?
Will I ever find true love?
As I sit down letting go of my last breath of hope,
A voice filling me responds,
Bursting through my soul,
It purges me with sheer hope,
Your true love is coming hold on,
Stay strong and never let go,
So I sit up and rise with determination,
Dusting off life’s revolting hoax,
I speak words creating a new foundational dream,
I am royalty not a princess but a Queen,
A Queen who’s crown shines brighter in the dark,
So stand back as I rise on my pulpit,
Ready to devour any man’s deceiving charm,
I am not just an ordinary Queen,
I am mighty above all,
Ready to never let go of the power I uphold,
As the state of liberty holds up her destiny,
I hold up life’s history letting it blow into the wind,
Till its visible no more,
Pain is something I will never let win,
Faith is slowly beginning to sink in,
I am precious over everything,
My anthem I will sing,
I am a Queen ready to overcome anything.
